This country still has a tremendous need to hear about God’s grace even though it opened to the gospel and foreign missionaries in the 1990s. Workers flooded in with the Good News, and then for various reasons began flooding out 10 years later. As a result there are not many missionaries left and the health of local churches has become ever more important. World Team works to develop specific churches and raise up nationals to assume roles of spiritual responsibility. Though the work is challenging, praise God that many have responded to Jesus and they share the gospel with friends in towns and villages.
